With class leading sensitivity and power output, links can be achieved with a greater range than comparible systems. The 'connectorised' version of the flagship Motorola PTP product can boast a range up to 124 miles.
Advanced techniques are adopted to combat the typical issues faced by a point to point wireless link. Motorola are currently the only manufacturer to combine Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO), intelligent Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (i-OFDM) and advanced signal-processing algorithms. This enables Motorola PTP systems to create four simultaneous channels between pairs of transceivers at each end of the link. In non-adverse environments, each pair of transceivers can operate in parallel, in effect creating two links and doubling throughput.
Other benefits of Motorola PTP wireless links include surviving wind speeds of up to 200 Mph, achieving links in 'near' and 'non' line of sight, in adverse environments over long distances and across water.
Data security is an important consideration when deploying any wireless solution. Motorola's unique software ensures that each wireless bridge will only communicate with its matched counterpart. In addition, over the air data transmissions are encoded using a unique scrambling mechanism. Finally, FIPS-197 compliant 128 and 256 bit AES encryption can be deployed.
